A steeply sloping garden with a beautiful mature Ginkgo tree meant we could not build walls or change soil levels or else risk damaging the roots. The solution: gabions (loose rocks in wire baskets) and steel mesh panels to create elevated walkways, steps and a platform that appears to float above the flower beds beneath.
