Sloping plots like this large rear garden in Barnet are an opportunity to create lots of three dimensional interest by making a feature of steps and patios. A staggered arrangement leads the eye. A garden studio and pergola were built midway along its length with fruit trees and an oval lawn beyond in the end garden. Corten steel was used to retain steps and planters, slate pavers for patios and step infills.
